So, the feature request is to open pdf file the way that it can be edited/replaced/deleted by someone else. I don't know PDF internals, but even when file locking is required, it should be possible to unlock file when it is readed (lock/unlock for dynamic load, if it is used, for ex.)Įven most of the text editors do open text files only for read and retrieve write access only during the save operation. Here's solution: Most of the time PDF files are only viewed and Foxit Reader does not requires to lock the file. Manually change settings: Whether you’re using Foxit Reader or Foxit PhantomPDF, go to the settings menu to enable Safe Reading Mode and uncheck Enable JavaScript A ctions. Therefore, before modifying the file, I have to close it every time in Foxit Reader, what is not so nice.

Here's the problem: When I create and modify pdf file in other software and open it in Foxit Reader, Foxit Reader accesses file in read-write mode, and therefore locks file and noone else can write content into it any more.

Step 3 : When opening any PDF file, you will see the text will always open in full screen mode.I've searched the forum and didn't found similar question, so I create a new feature request. Then, click the drop down button next to In Foxit Reader, please choose the mode for Displaying PDF Mode and select Full Screen Mode. Step 2 : When the Preferences window appears, click on Document in the left column. Step 1 : Open Foxit Reader, click the File menu, select Preferences.
